  • IS THERE A GOD?

What of the stillborn child who never saw the light of day

For him his skies were always gray

    What about the teen

    Leukemia ridden with life unlived

    And sights unseen

    What about the young man

    Killed fighting a war

That as he lay there dying

    Doesn't know what for

    What about the small child

Whose life's cut short on that dark cold night

When the drunk driver ran the light

Or the old man who all his life toiled for bread

For those who scorned him his fingers bled

And now no one cares that he's dead

Is there a God who does care

And what of me how do I dare

    To question the divine

    Is there a master plan

    An unknown design

That can only be understood beyond the pale

And one day all shall be revealed

    When His purpose is unveiled

Am I to trust and is this faith blind

    And if I don't question

Then why did God give me a mind

You tell me "don't despair it's all in the book!"

And there's a final victory still to come

All right I'll try to take a second look!

Now I see, death is conquered, eternity's begun!
